Marni and Niko

Marni and Niko met in Stuttgart, Germany and got married in Charleston, Marni’s hometown. The ceremony was at St. Luke’s Chapel, with a reception at The American Theater. The American Theater is a Charleston venue downtown that is great for couple looking for a modern twist on a vintage Charleston wedding. Frederick’s Florist did beautiful flower arrangements for the ceremony and reception with rentals by Snyder Events. Paper Dolls and Gown Boutique of Charleston created a comfortable, elegant look for Marni. Marni and Niko love to travel and are from different countries so they went with a travel theme for the day with little accents from the movie Up!

Erin and Nathan are engaged!

Erin and Nathan met in Charleston and they are excited to be getting married at the Confederate Home and Harbor Club on Friday. Nathan is from Pittsburgh and Erin is excited for his family to see some of the beautiful landmarks of Charleston. Their engagement session at Boone Hall Plantation in October was absolutely gorgeous. I just love the cotton fields and the oak trees.

Audrey and Thomas

It may have been a little chilly, but it was a beautiful day in Charleston for Audrey and Thomas’ wedding! The day started with Audrey being pampered by Pamela Leash on make-up and Joyous Occasions on hair. Audrey had a beautiful gown from Alexia’s Bridal located in Raleigh, North Carolina. She carried with her a fur wrap for those chilly moments throughout the day. Kendra from Weddings By Leah was so wonderful to work with and she did a great job coordinating the day. In Bloom helped decorate the Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation with palmetto leaves and Helen’s Florist put together the red and white flower bouquets. Guests munched on boiled peanuts, a South Carolina favorite, from Cru Catering while dancing the night away with entertainment provided by Donnie Atwood. Audrey is a lymphoma survivor and as a gift to all of their guests, the couple made a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Karin and Robert

Karin and Robert were married at Grace Episcopal Church with a reception at South Carolina Society Hall. It was important for couple to have a fun, classic, simple Charleston wedding. Karin’s hair and make-up were by Lashes and Lace, and Karin looked gorgeous (she is also a former Miss. South Carolina contestant!). Karin worked with Sweet Magnolia Flowers and Good Food Catering to help make her dream day come true. Robert is part of the United Sates Marines, and Charleston Cakes Etc., created a cake to represent his service. Guests enjoyed dinner and danced all night to Lee Edwards Entertainment DJ. It was a fun evening had by everyone with a special guest appearance from the Clemson Tiger!

Meredith and Bryan

Meredith and Bryan met through mutual friends, and they wanted a wedding to truly show of their southern roots. Bryan is a carpenter and Meredith is a chief so they wanted to make sure there was a lot of wood accents as well as good southern food at the wedding. Bryan even constructed the cake stands with wood from the family farm, how awesome and unique! B. Gourmet Catering coordinated this beautiful day, and also catered the event with dishes like fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits. Rentals were provided by Event Works. Kristin’s Bridals at Magnolia Plantation

Kristin had her bridal session at Magnolia Plantation in August. It may have been hot, but that did not stop Wanda from capturing some amazing photos of the beautiful bride. Look for photos of Kristin and Jame’s special day in a few weeks!

Kamilah and Tashir

Nothing could stop these two from saying “I DO”, not even the hot July sun! Kamilah and Tashir were married at the Island House on John’s Island, and with such breathtaking views it is no wonder they did not care about the heat. It was such a beautiful day for a beautiful couple. Confetti of Charleston did a great job designing the coordinating the event. I loved the burlap table runners and the beautiful wildflower pictures Wanda captured with the bride and her bridesmaids. Meredith & Matt

Meredith and Matt were set up by a mutual friend in 2011, and got married this past June. The ceremony was held at Second Presbyterian with the reception at the Francis Marion Hotel. Meredith loves anything pink and girly and that is exactly the kind of wedding that she wanted. Meredith worked with OK Florist, Ashley Bakery, Blushair, and Creative Sound to make her day perfect! Emily & Daniel

Emily and Dan’s Wild Dunes wedding was all about starfish and the colors turquoise and lime green. The theme was inspired and expanded from the Starfish wedding invitation Emily used. JW Weddings and Events made sure to bring everything together throughout the day. I also loved Emily’s tea length dress, it was a perfect dress to for the day. Congrats guys!
