20s Themed Art Deco American Theater Wedding in Charleston, SC

When Amy and Josh first described their wedding, I really wanted to be their photographer.  And I’m so glad I was.   They held their ceremony and reception in the American Theater Downtown Charleston, which has an amazing art deco decor.  It was so fun to shoot.  Their decor was spot on, they got a Bentley just for pictures… and they gave me like 3 hours to for portraits.   Perfect storm of rad pictures.

South Carolina Aquarium Wedding by Charleston Wedding Photographer

With Kelly at the posh Market Pavilion Hotel and her groom Phil at Old South Barber Shop in downtown Charleston, SC, this wedding day was off to a relaxing start.  After our first glance near the Customs House, Kelly and Phillip we went for a dramatic ceremony and reception at the South Carolina Aquarium.  We broke out the big guns for this one, and I’m one happy wedding photographer.

The Charleston Symphony Orchestra

I was honored to receive a call from the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, who commissioned us to create new group and individual portraits of their core ensembles.   Over two days of shooting, we got a great collection. Thank you so much to all of the musicians who came out to participate — was a joy to get to be involved in this small way in the great work that you do.

Magnolia Gardens Wedding Photography

Magnolia Plantation is so, so lovely. It has to be on of the top 5 gardens in the entire US — especially this time of the year when the Azaleas are out. Tracey was such a joy to work with, and Glen was and his guys were a ton of fun to shoot. Wanda and I agreed that this was a great wedding to start wedding season.

Baby Grace’s 7 month downtown shoot.

We did quite  a few shoots downtown over the holidays, so I thought I’d post some previews from a few of them.   This one is baby Grace who is getting regular portraits for her first year.  We went downtown to Waterfront park for this shoot.  Did very well and is getting to that age where she has a lot of great expressions.  Happy New Year, Grace!
