Ginny and Todd
/in Wedding/by adminGinny’s vision for her big day was a winter wedding with classy, southern charm and lots of candle light for a warm, cozy feeling. She chose black bridesmaids dresses and a classic black tux with bow tie for the groomsman. Ginny had the talented team from Salon Capelli do a great job showing off her beautiful green eyes and long blonde hair. The ladies had Gown Boutique of Charleston had Todd in tears when she walked down the isle in her beautiful gown. For flowers, Ginny wanted to have whites with just little springs of green to contrast the bridesmaids black dresses and also to fit in with the winter theme. Country and Lace Florist did a great job pulling together Ginny’s vision and coordinating the event. Following the ceremony, a bagpiper played filling the streets with the happy announcement of a new marriage. Walking over to the Mills House from the French Huguenot Church, the bridesmaids carried candles for a very festive touch. Ginny also choose lots of silver and gold for a touch of sparkle that added to the elegant feel. Immaculate Confections designed and baked a beautiful cake for guests to enjoy. Both Ginny and Todd agreed that they wanted their wedding to be FUN! So they decided to have a great band, Momentum, at the reception to keep the reception upbeat and lively! Ginny wore her grandmothers’ fur stole to the reception and her bridesmaids wore monogrammed wraps. Their big leave consisted of everyone throwing artificial snow to wrap up the wonderful winter wedding!
Mandi and Matt are Engaged!
/in Engagement/by adminMell had a wonderful afternoon downtown getting to know Mandi and Matt. It was love at first site when Mell noticed they were all wearing flip flops and got to share their love for the shoe. They started off with drinks at Leaf and then had a beautiful afternoon downtown to capture in their engagement excitement! We are looking forward to this sweet couples wedding and to see what Cindy at Engaging Events has put together for them!
Jessica & Scott
/in Wedding/by adminJessica and Scott chose Charleston for their destination wedding for the southern charm and grace that the city eludes. The ceremony was held at the Confederate Home and the reception at the Old Exchange Building, both downtown. I love the magnolia flowers that were used as a bouquet, they were so beautiful. Lauren from Fox Events was great to work with, and the day was exactly what Jessica and Scott envisioned.
Danielle and Josh’s Engagement
/in Engagement/by adminDanielle and Josh met at a Halloween party in 2010. Josh was down for a week to play golf and the two ended up seeing each other every day he was here! Josh convinced Danielle to move to Pittsburgh with him and even though the transition of moving from the South to the North has been difficult for Danielle, she says Josh has made it pretty great. Here are some shots from there engagement session, can’t wait to see more pictures from their wedding in a few weeks!
Rachel & Robert
/in Wedding/by adminRachel and Robert both went to the University of Georgia, but met in Charleston during Spring Break. They were married at St. Luke’s Chapel and had the reception at the Thomas Bennett house. Rachel did not have a “vision” for the day, but used natural colors like green and white to make the occasion perfect. The flower lamps made by a family friend were just amazing and added such a great accent to the reception. Rachel’s dress is from Modern Trousseau in Charleston, and she looked stunning in it. We are so glad we got to see this sweet couple tie the knot! Rachel and Robert were also featured on Borrowed and Blue and you can check it out here!
Tiffany and Nico
/in Wedding/by adminCharleston is one of Tiffany and Nico’s favorite places to visit, so they knew they wanted to share this beautiful city with friends and family for their wedding. Nico is Chilean, and Mediterranean Catering did a great job incorporating that into the menu for the evening. Wickliffe House had the perfect decor for what Tiffany envisioned for her wedding. FINI Events, Event Haus, and Tiger Lily Florist worked with Tiffany to tie in her colors of blush, gold, ivory, and taupe for a romantic feel to the day. They had the ceremony outside followed by a cocktail house on the second floor of the home and a tented reception outside. We are so happy for this sweet couple, and so glad we could spend the day with them! Tiffany and Nico’s wedding was also featured on Melissa Hearts Weddings and you can check it out here!
