Jamye and David’s All Things Southern Wedding

Jamye and David met in 2002 and when they got engaged and started wedding planning they wanted an all southern wedding.  Magnolia Plantation and Garden was the perfect venue for the couple to show of there southern roots.  Keri and Elizabeth of Simply Weddings helped to pull off the day as the day of coordinator.  Tiger Lily Florist and Event Works did a great job of adding burlap, seersucker, hydrangeas, and mason jars to show off the Plantation.  Sticky Fingers provided a boiled peanut bar, and how more southern can you get?  We were so happy to be apart of Jayme and Davids special and we wish them many years of happiness.    Jayme and David’s wedding was also recently published on Borrowed and Blue, check it out here: http://www.borrowedandblue.com/charleston/weddings/jamye-david

Debra and Nicholas at Magnolia Plantation

Debra and Nicholas were married in January at Magnolia Plantation.  And here is just another reason why couples love to get married in Charleston:  it was a beautiful sunny day and warm enough for an outdoor wedding!  Debra and Nicholas had a first glance and Nathan took some gorgeous photos all around Magnolia.  Another beautiful wedding and wonderful couple we are happy we go to be apart of!

Scott and Carla’s Vintage Wedding at Magnolia Plantation

Today we are sharing Carla and Scott’s classy, vintage wedding at Magnolia Plantation.  They had there ceremony and reception at the Carriage House.  Carla’s vision was an old, faded photograph, where all colors have faded, but the love remains. There centerpieces were old books, pearls and scrap numbers. They also love to travel, and so there guest book was a globe and a travel journal, so creative!  The place cards were mini vintage postcards and the favors are personalized bookmarks, with a quote from the bride’s favorite book, “Pride and Prejudice”.  What a great way to incorporate both the bride and grooms hobbies into there special day.  Francesca at Pure Luxe Bride and Beth at Wildflowers Inc were so wonderful to work with and created such a beautiful day for Carla and Scott.

Emily and Casey at Magnolia Plantation

Emily and Casey are from Chicago and had a destination wedding at Magnolia Plantation, and you can tell the fun nature they have by these pictures.  The wedding was very casual with the bride wearing a tea length dress. The flowers and decorations added to the southern feel of the plantation.  Duvall Catering and Event Design did a wonderful job catering and decorating for this wedding, we always enjoy working with Duvall!

Jennifer and Cory at Legare Waring House

Jennifer and Cory are such a sweet couple and they were so excited to get there families and friends down to South Carolina for there celebration.  Jennifer and Cory love the University of Georgia and that is where the color inspiration comes from.   She also wanted to show off the vintage vibe of South Carolina while also keeping the day fun so she incorporated lots of lights throughout the day, including chandeliers hanging from trees during the ceremony.  Tiger Lily florist made arrangements of red flowers that really popped against the white and black dress and suits the bridesmaids and groomsmen wore.  The Legare Waring house is such a unique place to visit in Charleston we hope you enjoy these photos!
