A foggy morning on cat feet.

Sometimes getting up at 5:30 AM pays off.  There should be an aphorism about that.

Reconnecting with Sicilian Relatives

Earlier this year I got to meet some long lost cousins.  After doing a great deal of genealogical research, combined with some amazing coincidences, some of my American cousins made contact with our Sicilian relatives (the ones that never immigrated to America).  My great grandfather, Sebastian Guidice and his wife Maude Pizza came to America via Ellis Island and had a prolific family.  Sebastian’s brother stayed in Sicily and did the same.  Well, long story short with lots of letters trips to Sicily, several of our distant cousins came to visit our family and spent two weeks traveling all over the US.

My brother Ryan and I rendezvoused with the entourage in New York City for a couple of days, and we actually caught up with them and met, in of all places, the Boat to Ellis Island.  This seemed beautifully serendipitous, since the boat to Ellis Island is what separated the family in the first place.

We had an amazing time with the group for a couple of days before we had to part ways again.  Here are some shots from the trip.

Approaching Ellis Island

Entering!

Adorably, Giovanna looked strikingly similar to many of the immigrant images in the museum.

My brother searching the Wall for Sebastian and Maude's name.

Found it! Sebastian Guidice. That's my American Cousin Judy in the background who did all the leg work and research to make this happen. She even wrote a book about the whole saga.

Wall street was way cooler that I thought it would be.

Indian Wedding Reception – South Carolina Photographer

Tiru & Vandana’s wedding events culminated with a grand reception Saturday evening with dancing, food, friends and family — perfect!

Our Destination Photography Portfolio

I’ve been wanting to get all of our various shoots from out of state and overseas together, and February provided the opportunity.  Here’s a show of some of my favorite shots that we’ve taken in France, London, Greece, Italy, Mexico, and all over the US.

Baby Eden

One of the blessings of my career is being invited back to our past wedding couples to photograph their babies. Baby Eden is a beautiful little girl, and a perfect personality for Harry and Farrah.

Melly Belly!

My lovely Mell Bell, will be my baby momma in May, they say!  And we’re having a girl, which calls for a tutu maternity portrait 🙂

I love those ladies.

Jackson’s 10 week old Studio Portrait Session

Jackson was such a happy little model, and no “accidents” were involved in the making of these photos. We hope you enjoy the first professional photos of this cute little guy and his family.

WPPI  is the largest professional photographers’ event in the country, and it is held in Vegas every year.

After yeeeeeeears of attending WPPI being only a *sigh* “maybe one day” kind of dream….this year it will be REALITY! Words cannot express how excited I am (we all are!!!!)

So tonight, while we wish you all a very Happy Valentine’s Day….we are packing our bags and counting down the minutes.

Here are a three pics I took while touring Vegas about this time last year:

If you are going to be attending the wedding show tomorrow at the Charleston Convention Center….come by our booth and say hi!  We will all be there with bells on!

Nathan, Mell and I will be leaving directly from the show to the airport for Vegas. 🙂

And if you call or visit our studio this week, be sure to send all your extra kudos to Steve for holding down the fort for us!!!!

Everyone sing Happy Birthday to Damien…

Ladies, meet Damien. He’s 5′ 11” and enjoys long walks on the beach and good Italian food………just kidding. (But only sort of!)

Aaaaaaanyway, Sunday was my good friend Damien’s birthday,  and of all things, I was able to talk  him into letting me take his goodlookin self out for a photo shoot!

We had lots of fun and took pictures all over the downtown area! We had WAY too many good ones to choose from by the end of the evening, but I guess that’s nothing to complain about! Damien was so much fun to photograph…he’s easygoing and relaxed…and c’mon girls you gotta admit he’s also easy on the eyes! 😉

So now I need your help picking the overall favorite!  (There is a poll at the end of this post so go vote!)
