Holy City Wedding

Engaged at Holy City Brewery, and to show their love for craft beer, Kelsey and Forrest had a wedding reception themed around beer.  The couple planned a small, casual, rustic wedding that incorporated their Irish and Scottish backgrounds, Kelsey’s military family, and Forrest’s South Carolina roots.  The wedding was held at Legare-Waring House at Charles Towne Landing.  Stacey from Red Letter Events was on site on the wedding day to help bring together this beautiful vision.  Signature Players played during the ceremony using violins.  Cru Catering provided an assortment of fruits, cheeses, and vegetables, which a beautiful cake from D’lish was accented with two love birds.  Jade Water Designs created beautiful centerpieces of peonies and the brides bouquet consisted of white and yellow flowers.  The colors, chosen by the bride, represent springtime in Charleston.












Tina and Chris’s Southern Wedding

Natives of Pennsylvania, Tina and Chris wanted a classy wedding that made guests feel like they were in the deep south.  The colors they chose were champagne and ivory to go very nicely with the Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. Duvall Catering and Event Design helped bring this vision to life with lanterns, hydrangeas, white roses, and lots of candles.  After the ceremony, which was officiated by a friend of the couple, Duvall Catering provided a delicious menu of seafood, salad, mixed vegetables and fruit.











A Garden Party Wedding.

Katie and Chris had a stunning wedding at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens.  Duvall Catering and Event Design along with Branch Designs did a wonderful job pulling off a garden party meets backyard BBQ for this outdoor wedding.   The flowers that were used throughout the ceremony and reception were right out of a dream.  She used many colors including:  pink, orange, yellow, purple, and green.  Her shoes were even floral decorated!  Lauren at the Cake Stand created a round tiered cake with bright pink camellias that also showed off the brides bubbly personality.  The cake even featured two love birds on the top layer under the flowers. Katie’s ball gown styled dress came from Wedding Row, in Downtown Charleston.  Katie also wore her grandmother’s green cocktail ring which matched her teardrop earrings.  Other Brother Entertainment provided a live band for guests to party and dance to all night.  A white limo from ACW Limo Service awaited the bride and groom as they were sent off with sparklers.










Michelle and Jay’s Kiawah Island Wedding

Michelle and Jay were married in Kiawah Island on June 1, 2013.  The wedding took place at the Sandcastle at Kiawah.  The colors were blue and yellow, with the groomsmen looking southern in plaid bow ties.  The reception continued with the beach theme having an ice sculpture Adirondack chair which held shrimp  and seashells and starfish covered the tables.

Chicago couple Katy and Jeff were married in Bluffton, South Carolina at St. Gregory the Great  with a reception following at Belfair Plantation on May 18th.  The colors were coral and gold, and flowers provided by Old Bluffton Flowers were white garden roses with a few light pink roses added in.  Being extremely crafty, Katy did much of the wedding design herself.  The invitations and ceremony programs were all designed with her talent in graphic design.  The place cards which were boxes in the shapes of bride and grooms were also made my Katy.  The table numbers were shown with pictures of the bride and groom at the corresponding age. Another personal touch that was added to the wedding was the wedding cake which was made by the grooms aunt.  The “sweets” table also consisted of family cookie recipes from both sides.  While Hilton Head Entertainment provided the music, Katy and Jeff provided the flip flops so guests could “Save their souls and DANCE!” Guests came from out of town so it was important for Katy and Jeff to show off the south while everyone partied and enjoyed the weekend!










Courtney & Joel

Courtney and Joel were married at Magnolia Plantation, on a beautiful sunny day May, 30.  They had a very small intimate wedding with family, friends, and their adorable pooch, Boone.  With about ten quests their wedding was all about them!  Mosaic Catering did a fantastic job providing an afternoon menu for the couple and there guests!










A Romantic Wedding by the Water

Ashleigh and Eric wanted a romantic wedding with a touch of the south.  They choose Patriots Point for the fantastic view and to help make their vision come true, Roxanne at Marry Me Weddings used white with hints of peach and burlap.  The flowers for the ceremony and reception were provided by Branch Studio Designs with white hydrangeas, pink roses, and lots of babies breath.  The brides gown from Global Bridal Gallery in Alexandria, Virginia was a fitted one shoulder lace dress which was embellished with a belted pearl tie around the middle. Lacy at Relish Distinctive Catering came up with a delicious menu of crab cakes, shrimp & grits, and hush puppies.  For dessert, everyone was able to enjoying a little bit of everything from traditional wedding cake to whoopie pies to mini pecan pies from P.I.E Bake Shoppe.  Other Brother Entertainment provided a band for the entertainment and the bride and groom were whisked away in a black cab provided Black Cab Company at the end of the evening.










Storm Point Pavilion Wedding

Storm Point Pavilion and Red Bank Club are hidden gems in Goose Creek, South Carolina and that is where Jessica and Michael chose to say their vows to one another.  The outdoor setting is perfect for couples who are wanting an outdoor, low key wedding with the beautiful Ashley River in the background.   The colors were a dark plum with pops of bright pink and orange that were absolutely stunning to the eye.










Lori and Chris’ Elegant Boone Hall Wedding

Lori and Chris wanted a classic, elegant wedding that really highlighted vintage Boone Hall Plantation.  Everything from the cotton boutineers to the mason jars showed off a rustic yet sophisticated look that outlined the huge Oak Trees at the entrance to Boone Hall.  Wedding hair was by Carrie at Paper Dolls Wedding Hair & Make-Up.  Modern Trousseau helped Lori pick out her beautiful mermaid style gown.  Stephanie at Sweetgrass Events and Tiger Lily florist created a beautiful reception that used silvers, ivories, and pops of purple throughout.  Old photos of the bride and groom were displayed in old rustic frames and hung up to show off the bride and grooms personal style.  Lace and burlap were a staple as decorating pieces to pay respect to the South!  Many of the decorations were handcrafted by the mother of the bride.  Good Food Catering brought southern favorites for guests to dine on.  Entertainment by DJ Mateo Jones had guests dancing all night.  Cakes by Kasarda created a beautiful four tiered white cake that featured cascading purple flowers.  To end the evening the bride and groom were showered with lavender, cheers, and tears!












Jesalyn & Rich’s Intimate Planters Inn Wedding & Reception

Jesalyn & Rich wanted an intimate wedding with beautiful details, and they really nailed it! They chose the Planters Inn because of its charm and Charleston feel. It was perfect for a short stroll for photos after the wedding!
