When Sutton and Patrick decided to get married, Charleston was the obvious choice! The two met in Charleston and fell in love here. After choosing the Historic Rice Mill it was easy to see the natural beauty of the venue and go with a minimal rustic theme. The venue was decorated with flickering candles and fresh flowers, all following the color theme of navy, gold and blush. The two wanted wedding to be a huge celebration and to be fun, so they placed games just outside of the bar for a guests to play, a life sized jenga set and a corn hole set and of course, glow sticks on the dance floor!

Katie and Matt

Katie, a Charleston native fell in love with Matthew, a Air Force Pilot. The two decided to get married in Charleston, at the magnificent Cathedral of St John the Baptist! After a beautiful ceremony the celebrations got into full swing at Lowndes Grove, a perfect combination of charm and class. The newlyweds danced the night away and after a miniature airplane getaway the two took off in a classic Bentley!

Alex and Michael

Alex is a hopeless romantic at heart! Throughout the planning process she wanted to make her and Michael’s wedding feel elegant, dreamy romantic, and have a touch of southern flair. It was also important that above everything it was still personalized to their love and relationship. Because Alex loves to read they incorporated that into the seating. Each table was named after a famous literary couple and also had a quote from their story that described their relationship. Alex and Michael’s table was named after them and since we didn’t get a chance to say our own vows they wrote them together for their table! Michael has a shot glass collection that he is quite proud of so for favors they decided to create custom shot glasses. Finally the fun couple are both kids at heart so they were excited to give the guests a chance to take silly pictures and enjoy the photo booth and great dance music!

Neda and Mark

Since both have large families and lots of friends, they wanted their celebration to feature lots of dancing and fun! This wedding was a destination wedding, so the two wanted it to be special for both of their families. Sara wanted her Texas roots integrated with Jared’s Pennsylvania family. The two wanted the day to be something different from back home, but also comfortable and familiar. With the touches that they chose the day was exactly that!

Alexa and Mike met through mutual friends in high school! The two love the beach so it seemed fitting to have their wedding at Wild Dunes Resort. The beach resort was not only gorgeous but a great place for Alexa and Mike’s out of town family to stay! The two wanted to have a romantic celebration of their love and they certainly accomplished it thanks to a sweet ceremony performed by Mike’s father and a fun reception full of dancing!

Kristina and Bryan

Kristina and Bryan met while attending the University of Rhode Island and had an activity filled wedding! Kristina wanted to keep the day to a natural feel, and make sure all guest had a great time. They had bocci ball, corn hole, cigar rolling, a smores station, and of course, lots of dancing! The wedding was at Magnolia Plantation, such a beautiful venue all year around, and Beth from Wildflowers Inc did such a great job coordinating, designing, and providing the flowers for the day. The carriage house looked whimsical with the greens hanging from the ceiling and the beautiful lights that were hung. The couple was married by Wedding Minister in Charleston under a tent from Event Haus. After the ceremony guests ate delicious meals from Cru Catering and had apple pie and pecan pie for dessert. The teams at Vanity Salon and Gown Boutique of Charleston had Kristina looking gorgeous as she walked down the isle to her groom. The couple left the party as husband and wife in a classic white car from Lowcountry Valet and Shuttle.

Andrea and Jim

Andrea and Jim had a romantic October wedding at beautiful Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. With the bride dressed in a gorgeous gown from Dressed to the Nine’s and flowers in shades of violet and lavender from WildFlowers Inc, this truly was a magical day! The ceremony displayed all of the beauty of Magnolia Plantation in the fall. After the sweet vows were said, the celebration was in full swing! DeClare Cakes created a lovely “naked cake” with a simple and tasty elegance that everyone enjoyed. After enjoying a delicious spread provided by Cru Catering the newlyweds danced the night away with guests thanks to Kings Entertainment SC. It was a wedding filled with sweet moments and fun memories!

Scott and Carla’s Vintage Wedding at Magnolia Plantation

Today we are sharing Carla and Scott’s classy, vintage wedding at Magnolia Plantation. They had there ceremony and reception at the Carriage House. Carla’s vision was an old, faded photograph, where all colors have faded, but the love remains. There centerpieces were old books, pearls and scrap numbers. They also love to travel, and so there guest book was a globe and a travel journal, so creative! The place cards were mini vintage postcards and the favors are personalized bookmarks, with a quote from the bride’s favorite book, “Pride and Prejudice”. What a great way to incorporate both the bride and grooms hobbies into there special day. Francesca at Pure Luxe Bride and Beth at Wildflowers Inc were so wonderful to work with and created such a beautiful day for Carla and Scott.
