Emily and William

Emily and William had a sweet October wedding at The Island House. Thanks to gorgeous Charleston weather the flowers at the Island house were blooming beautifully still! The ceremony over looked the water where the bride and groom exchanged endearing vows. After an intimate ceremony the party began. Delicious food was prepared by Three Little Birds and guests enjoyed cupcakes from Butter Cupcakes. Everyone danced the night away thanks to the music provided by Other Brother Entertainment. It was a lovely time had by all!

With the bride dressed in a gorgeous gown from Dressed to the Nine’s and flowers in shades of violet and lavender from WildFlowers Inc, this truly was a magical day!  The ceremony displayed all of the beauty of Magnolia Plantation in the fall. Marcella and Ward

Marcella and Ward made it a point to blend the Indonesian heritage of the bride with the Carolina traditions of the groom. To accomplish this, they combined the beauty of South Carolina with Indonesian cultural influences! To kick off the wedding festivities they started off with an Oyster Roast welcome dinner overlooking the marshes of Kiawah Island. The following day was the ceremony, which was held at the cathedral of St. John the Baptist in downtown Charleston and the reception at Osprey Point Golf Club back on Kiawah Island. Marcella and Ward were inspired to incorporate a feather theme, from the various types of feathers on the bride’s wedding dress – custom designed by Maya Ratih Couture, to feathers on the cake- done by The Cake Stand.  Indonesian elements included a pre-reception tea ceremony, custom wedding toppers of the couple in traditional Indonesian garb, and kopi luwak (a rare civet coffee) for the guests! It was a gorgeous day with so many thoughtful, personal touches!

Meredith and Bryan

Meredith and Bryan met through mutual friends, and they wanted a wedding to truly show of their southern roots.  Bryan is a carpenter and Meredith is a chief so they wanted to make sure there was a lot of wood accents as well as good southern food at the wedding.  Bryan even constructed the cake stands with wood from the family farm, how awesome and unique!  B. Gourmet Catering coordinated this beautiful day, and also catered the event with dishes like fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits.  Rentals were provided by Event Works.  Congratulations Meredith and Bryan!!  Meredith and Bryan were also featured on Aisle Ready, and you can check them out here! richardbellphotography richardbellphotography-2 richardbellphotography-3 richardbellphotography-4 richardbellphotography-5 richardbellphotography-6 richardbellphotography-7 richardbellphotography-8 richardbellphotography-9 richardbellphotography-10

Lisa & Josh

After living in Charleston for several years, Lisa moved back to her hometown of Baltimore where she met and started dating Josh.  Lisa wanted to bring Josh to Charleston for his birthday and he fell in love with the city and the two decided they would get married at Magnolia Plantation!  Lisa and Josh were married in August, and had a beautiful rustic and southern charm wedding with help from Duvall Events.  Cakes by Kasarda made an amazing ruffled cake that was peach colored and ivory to match her color scheme.  Lashes and Lace had Lisa looking stunning on her day, and the bang Leggz kept guests partying all night!  Congrats Lisa and Jeff, we wish you many years of happiness!! rbpwedding rbpwedding-2 rbpwedding-3 rbpwedding-4 rbpwedding-5 rbpwedding-6 rbpwedding-7 rbpwedding-8 rbpwedding-9 rbpwedding-10 rbpwedding-11 rbpwedding-12

Amanda & Dave

To start the year off, I am going to take you back to a summer wedding! Amanda and Dave were married at Magnolia Plantation in August.  Amanda wanted a Lowcountry rustic themed day, with a little bit of Charlestonian elements mixed in.  She had palmetto flowers incorporated throughout the day, and Event Haus provided all of the rentals for the day.  Lashes and Lace made sure Amanda looked perfect for her day, and Bridal House of Charleston helped her to pick the perfect dress! Kate & Joe

Kate and Joe met while bowling with friends, and after Joe won Kate white sunglasses from a crane machine the two fell madly in love!  Kate and Joe had a very rustic wedding at the Historic Rice Mill, where they had lots of pink, burlap, and of course cowboy boots.   Everyone had a great time partying the night away with music provided by Ascend Entertainment, and Anna Bella Floral created beautiful flower arrangements for the day.  I loved her dress, it was such a great pick that match the day and the theme perfectly!  Kate and Joe were so awesome all day despite the rain, and we are so glad we got to capture such sweet moments.  Congrats guys!   rbpwedding rbpwedding-2 rbpwedding-3 rbpwedding-4 rbpwedding-5 rbpwedding-6 rbpwedding-7 rbpwedding-8 rbpwedding-9 rbpwedding-10 rbpwedding-11 rbpwedding-12 rbpwedding-13

Sally & Michael

Sally and Micheal met through a mutual friend and they wanted a wedding that was Southern Classic meets Northern Italian.  The ceremony was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the reception at Hibernian Hall.  Super Delux was the seven piece band and they did a great job doing a second line, which is a tradition from New Orleans were they play while wedding party and guests make procession into the ceremony.  Ok Florist did a great job creating beautiful pieces for the day, and Modern Trousseau helped Sally pick out the perfect dress for her!  Congrats Sally and Michael! rbpwedding rbpwedding-2 rbpwedding-3 rbpwedding-4 rbpwedding-5 rbpwedding-6 rbpwedding-7 rbpwedding-8 rbpwedding-9 rbpwedding-10
