Erin and Jeremy are from Virginia and had a small beach wedding in March. The Tides Hotel at Folly Beach provided a beautiful background for a South Carolina beach. I love that Erin wore boat shoes, and so did her bridesmaid! Such a sweet couple we are so glad we got to spend the afternoon with you! 
Jeanna and Kensie met in college and were married at Folly Beach in May. It was very important for Kensie and Jeanna’s wedding to be a celebration of love. The love they share, love for there family, and love for there friends. They wanted a simple but elegant atmosphere and with help from Duvall Events the day was perfect. Congrats Jeanna and Kensie! Can’t wait to photograph their wedding May 2013 at Brays Island, SC!
Melissa and Steven said the most important thing about their wedding day was to spend time with friends and family, and they did! High tide almost kept us from beach photos after the reception, but Steven carried Melissa through the waves so we could get some awesome photos!

Mike and Holly were VERY insistent that they wanted to be featured on our website, and Holly is such a diva for the camera, that we got a phenomenal collection, which I’m very happy to share. The rain threatened that day, right after the ceremony when we were supposed to take pictures, but all we got was a little sprinkle and a SPECTACULAR SKY instead. The rain just skirted Folly beach, giving this soft, magical light, ideal for portraiture. This was a an incredibly fun and tight-knit group. Mell and I had a great time. Congratulations Mike and Holly!
Don’t let the rain stop you! Rebecca, Ayden and I had their engagement pictures scheduled for months ahead of time for the only opening that worked for all of us. Now or never. And it rained. All day.
But no fear! I do not melt. We brought umbrellas to the beach and had a great time anyway. Remember this everybody. Rain does not have to ruin pictures. Shooting in situations like that often yield great results because it forces me to think hard and outside the box to get good shots. I’ve posted some of my favorites below, and here is a link to a slideshow.

It’s always a blessing to be a part of a friend’s wedding. I have known Sarah for about 5 years now (we have been friends since I lived in Johnson City, TN) and lucky me – she chose me to be her photographer! Anthony & Sarah are such a sweet couple and they had a very lovely beach wedding on Folly Beach with their reception at the Holiday Inn!

There’s always a special romance with beach weddings. Especially at sunset!
Sarah and Anthony’s wedding party was small and very fun!
(Also, I shot her maid of honor’s wedding almost 2 years ago. It was great to see Janelle & Austin at the wedding.)
