/in weddings/by adminKevin & Kimberly had a lovely and sweet wedding, joining two families that have known each other for decades. The toasts were amazing.
The Charleston Symphony Orchestra
/in portrait/by adminI was honored to receive a call from the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, who commissioned us to create new group and individual portraits of their core ensembles. Over two days of shooting, we got a great collection. Thank you so much to all of the musicians who came out to participate — was a joy to get to be involved in this small way in the great work that you do.

Maribeth and Ben’s Wedding at St. Philips Church and the Charleston Visitor’s Center
/in weddings/by adminMaribeth and Ben had a lovely evening wedding. Valerie Schooling was the lead photographer, and I tagged along because we love this family. This is our third time photographing a Kellenbenz daughter, so the wedding was just so special for us. St. Philip’s Church in downtown Charleston is perhaps the most well-known Charleston landmark, so we had a great time during our portrait sessions.
We wanted to do something a little extra for Maribeth, since we’ve become so close to her family, so I put together a special presentation of her wedding album predesign. Enjoy!

Preview from Justin Smoak and Kristin Bevacqua’s Wedding!
/in weddings/by adminWe had the amazing opportunity and honor to photograph Kristin and Justin’s wedding last weekend. With a beautiful ceremony at Redeemer Presbyterian in downtown Charleston, and a first class wedding at Founder’s Hall we had plenty of great places to do justice to the wedding of this local and now national celebrity (tough break for the Rangers, though).
We are working on a very special presentation for these images, but I wanted to put up a couple of teasers.
Heather and Chris’s Wedding at Dunes West Country Club in Mt. Pleasant, SC
/in weddings/by adminUpdate: The album design is now available to be viewed! Check it out.
Heather and Chris’s wedding was held under the Oaks at the Charleston area venue, the Dunes West Country Club, which boasts one of the most spectacular sunset views in all of Charleston (good sunsets are relatively rare on the east coast). We always break out all the stop to capture the sunset when we have the opportunity to work at this venue.
Here’s a link to Dunes West. Jason and his staff there are very, very good at what they do.
Wedding Photography at the South Carolina Aquarium in Charleston, SC
/in weddings/by adminThe aquarium is such a fantastic place to be a wedding photographer! There are endless possibilities with the luminecent tanks and unique architecture. Adair is a Marine Biologist, so the Aquarium was the perfect venue for her!
The Cast and Crew of the Clemente Players!
/in Community, personal/by adminI had the pleasure of photographing the cast and crew of the Werewolf’s Curse, Hair today Gone Tomorrow. They are currently in rehearsal for their performances the first weekend in April. They are the Clemente Players, directed by Dr. Sharon Willis (pictured in the front). All proceeds of the play go to benefit the Clemente Class, which is a pioneering educational experiment for the most needy of our society designed to fight the cycle of poverty by providing higher humanities education to those who would never otherwise have that opportunity. Jesse and Liza’s Wedding at St. John’s Lutheran Church and Three Lions Pub
/in album designs, weddings/by adminClick here to see the wedding album!
Jesse and Liza were married at St. John’s Lutheran Church–a historic beauty nestled in a hard-to-find alley in downtown Charleston. The group had a great time and we had lots of opportunity for some creative portraiture.
Liza is a DELIGHT. The best man, Brian, captured it in his toast, that this bride is the happiest and kindest person he knows. Jesse hit it big on this one.
Three Lions Club on Daniel Island is quite a find! The venue provides several different adjoining rooms with posh furnishing where guests could gather and have conversation, but the flow and dancing happened very organically. Good choice!
This wedding was a particular pleasure to be a part of, as Jesse and Liza and I went to High School together. So it was great seeing some of my old friends and classmates.
The album is now posted! Click below to see the entire wedding album!
