Audrey and Thomas

It may have been a little chilly, but it was a beautiful day in Charleston for Audrey and Thomas’ wedding! The day started with Audrey being pampered by Pamela Leash on make-up and Joyous Occasions on hair. Audrey had a beautiful gown from Alexia’s Bridal located in Raleigh, North Carolina. She carried with her a fur wrap for those chilly moments throughout the day. Kendra from Weddings By Leah was so wonderful to work with and she did a great job coordinating the day. In Bloom helped decorate the Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation with palmetto leaves and Helen’s Florist put together the red and white flower bouquets. Guests munched on boiled peanuts, a South Carolina favorite, from Cru Catering while dancing the night away with entertainment provided by Donnie Atwood. Audrey is a lymphoma survivor and as a gift to all of their guests, the couple made a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Jenna and Joshua are Engaged!

Jenna’s smile and giggles are contagious, it is hard not to look at these pictures and not smile and giggle yourself! These two are so adorable together! Mell is so excited for their upcoming wedding at Stella Maris Catholic Church and Alhambra Hall. Here are some pictures from their engagement session at the Pit Street Pier, a favorite place for Jenna and Joshua and also where Joshua proposed!

Tricia and Jake

Since Tricia and Jake got married on New Year’s Eve, they wanted to combine the simplicity of white flowers and neutral colors with regal deep navy blue colors and a pinch of gold to accent the joyous occasion. Looking back at photos, they wanted it to have a timeless appeal. The couple were working a Gopher hockey game together and met in the press box at Mariucci Arena. After their intimate wedding to celebrate they went to a South Carolina Stingrays hockey game before the New Year’s celebrations began. Tricia and Jake chose to elope at Magnolia Plantation because they are from Minnesota and wanted a small but romantic ceremony in a warmer climate! The most important thing to Tricia was that they create beautiful memories that they can cherish for the rest of their life together. Country Lace and Florist did a wonderful job with her navy and white bouquet and Awesome Designs & Weddings married the special couple.

Deanna and Tim are engaged!

It was not love at first sight for Deanna and Tim who met while working together. After much meddling by there boss, and Deanna thinking Tim was rude- the two became great friends and Tim finally asked Deanna out on a date. Tim was offered a job right after they started dating and Deanna moved with him to California and she said it was the best decision she has ever made. We are so excited to be apart of their day this weekend! Congrats!

Ginny and Todd

Ginny’s vision for her big day was a winter wedding with classy, southern charm and lots of candle light for a warm, cozy feeling. She chose black bridesmaids dresses and a classic black tux with bow tie for the groomsman. Ginny had the talented team from Salon Capelli do a great job showing off her beautiful green eyes and long blonde hair. The ladies had Gown Boutique of Charleston had Todd in tears when she walked down the isle in her beautiful gown. For flowers, Ginny wanted to have whites with just little springs of green to contrast the bridesmaids black dresses and also to fit in with the winter theme. Country and Lace Florist did a great job pulling together Ginny’s vision and coordinating the event. Following the ceremony, a bagpiper played filling the streets with the happy announcement of a new marriage. Walking over to the Mills House from the French Huguenot Church, the bridesmaids carried candles for a very festive touch. Ginny also choose lots of silver and gold for a touch of sparkle that added to the elegant feel. Immaculate Confections designed and baked a beautiful cake for guests to enjoy. Both Ginny and Todd agreed that they wanted their wedding to be FUN! So they decided to have a great band, Momentum, at the reception to keep the reception upbeat and lively! Ginny wore her grandmothers’ fur stole to the reception and her bridesmaids wore monogrammed wraps. Their big leave consisted of everyone throwing artificial snow to wrap up the wonderful winter wedding!

Kelly and Pat

Kelly and Pat were married at Charlestown Landing in a intimate ceremony. Doug Farmer officiated and the couple said their vows under the beautiful oaks in the park. We are so delighted Kelly and Pat chose us to be a part of their day! While looking for locations, they chose Charleston, because of their love for the city. Charles Towne Landing is such a gorgeous venue, with its avenue of oaks, moss, and marsh. Pat planned almost everything for their elopement because he wanted everything to be perfect for Kelly without having to be stressful. He even ordered our bouquet to surprise her! After their ceremony, we spent time walking around the ground for photos. It was so great seeing these two so in love, so happy and just truly in love!

Mea & Clay

Mandi and Matt are Engaged!

Mell had a wonderful afternoon downtown getting to know Mandi and Matt. It was love at first site when Mell noticed they were all wearing flip flops and got to share their love for the shoe. They started off with drinks at Leaf and then had a beautiful afternoon downtown to capture in their engagement excitement! We are looking forward to this sweet couples wedding and to see what Cindy at Engaging Events has put together for them!

Meredith and Bryan

Meredith and Bryan met through mutual friends, and they wanted a wedding to truly show of their southern roots. Bryan is a carpenter and Meredith is a chief so they wanted to make sure there was a lot of wood accents as well as good southern food at the wedding. Bryan even constructed the cake stands with wood from the family farm, how awesome and unique! B. Gourmet Catering coordinated this beautiful day, and also catered the event with dishes like fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits. Rentals were provided by Event Works. Rachel & Tony

Rachel and Tony were married in August at St. Benedict Catholic Church with a reception following at Harborside East. With help from Duvall Events, DeClare Cakes, and Gown Boutique of Charleston Rachel had a beautiful wedding day. After the ceremony, Nathan stopped downtown and got some great shots of the couple at the Cistern on College of Charleston’s campus. Harborside East is an overlooked venue in Mount Pleasant that has breathtaking views of the Cooper River Bridge. Thanks guys for letting us be apart of your day!
