Erin and Jeremy

Erin and Jeremy are from Virginia and had a small beach wedding in March.  The Tides Hotel at Folly Beach provided a beautiful background for a South Carolina beach.  I love that Erin wore boat shoes, and so did her bridesmaid!  Such a sweet couple we are so glad we got to spend the afternoon with you! beach beachlandscape beachpictures beachweddingceremony brideandgroom brideshoes brideunderboardwalk coupleonthebeach eveningwedding follybeach follybeachwedding follyboardwalk lighthouse lighthousewedding sperrys sunset sunsetwedding undertheboardwalk

Emily & Daniel

Emily and Dan’s Wild Dunes wedding was all about starfish and the colors turquoise and lime green. The theme was inspired and expanded from the Starfish wedding invitation Emily used.  JW Weddings and Events made sure to bring everything together throughout the day.   I also loved Emily’s tea length dress, it was a perfect dress to for the day.  Congrats guys! mcdowell-0233 mcdowell-0241 mcdowell-0252 mcdowell-0282 mcdowell-0286 mcdowell-0592 mcdowell-0599 mcdowell-0616 mcdowell-0626 mcdowell-0778 mcdowell-1135 mcdowell-1137

Amber & Chad

Amber and Chad chose Wild Dunes for their destination wedding because they love the wildlife, flowers, and scenery that the beach possess.  OK Florist did a great job designing the event.  We had a great time getting to know them, and wish them lots of happiness in the years to come! Amber and Chad were also featured on A Lowcountry Wedding and you can check that out here!

Amy and Sean’s Wedding at Tides Folly Beach

Amy and Sean wanted their wedding to be on the sand at the beach, and the rain wasn’t go to stop them from doing just that. 🙂

Rebekah and Korey at Summerall Chapel and the Citadel Beach House

We had the pleasure of photographing Rebekah and Korey’s military ceremony at Summerall Chapel.  This was a happy first for the studio in that, while Korey is a distinguished Marine, he is not an alumni of the Citadel — but Rebekah is attending Grad school there.  Summerall is of course one of our very favorite church settings in Charleston for photography, and the Citadel Beach House is one of the nicest (and well lit) venues that provide for both a beach reception and a large, in-door reception hall.

This classic couple was surrounded so many happy friends and family.  You could tell that their parents were so proud.  I love being around that sort of thing.

Stay tuned for the Full album to be posted later this week!

Summerall Chapel has some of the most elaborate stained glass in all of Charleston.

I think Korey is most proud of this one.

Duffy and Chris’s Wedding at the Marriott Hilton Head Resort and Spa

The clouds on this rainy weekend parted long enough for Duffy’s wedding on the Beach to turn out just as they were praying for (and they prayed a lot!).   Duffy Pew married Christopher Crapps (yes, it was the Pew-Crapps wedding, and they’ve heard every joke possible on the subject, so leave it alone) on October 11, 2008 on beautiful Hilton Head Island Beach at the Marriotte Resort and Spa.

The ladies got ready in the Honeymoon suite, which was huge, and offered some great opportunities for portraits.

The ceremony site offered all of the view and feel of getting married on the beach, without actually having to drag an expensive dress throguh the sand. Good pick for the ceremony site!

I'm a sucker for this shot.

A sand ceremony is always a MUCH better idea for a beach wedding then a candle.

These two had such great expressions the whole day. You could tell they kinda liked each other.
