Heather and Ken

We love to travel!  Nathan traveled to Atlanta, Georgia for Heather and Ken’s wedding. Heather and Ken met in high school. Heather was very shy and they only went on one date. That date made a lasting impression on both of them. After high school Heather and Ken went their separate ways, getting married and having children. As life sometimes goes they both found themselves divorced. One day Heather received a friend request from Ken and she knew that this was a life changing experience. Even though both live in separate cities and have careers and children of their own, they know their love is strong enough to endure any obstacle. They chose to get married at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens surrounded by their friends and family. Their wedding was soon after Christmas, so the gardens were covered in beautiful lights.  Callie from We Tie The Knots designed and coordinated the day, we loved the evergreen that decorated the place cards.  TLC Rents and Event Drapery provided breathtaking event accessories to the reception. Sweet Peeps did a wonderful making a cake that looked like it was coming out of a Winter Wonderland.  Flowers were by Boukates and they did a great job accenting the Day Hall of the gardens.

Elizabeth and Sri

Elizabeth and Sri love dark, deep colors and cooler weather so when the two became engaged they knew they wanted to get married in December.   Elizabeth is from Charleston and wanted to show off her southern style while also incorporating Sri’s Indian culture.   They had a beautiful gold mandap for their ceremony with red and white roses.  They had a two day celebration starting with a ceremony at The Rice Mill Building downtown.  It was important for Elizabeth and Sri to have support from their families which is why they wanted a small  intimate ceremony.  The next day there was a huge party at the The Country Club of Charleston, with decorations by Frampton Flowers, which held a special place in Elizabeth’s heart because it is where her grandparents would take her as a child.

Ginny and Todd

Ginny’s vision for her big day was a winter wedding with classy, southern charm and lots of candle light for a warm, cozy feeling. She chose black bridesmaids dresses and a classic black tux with bow tie for the groomsman.  Ginny had the talented team from Salon Capelli do a great job showing off her beautiful green eyes and long blonde hair.  The ladies had Gown Boutique of Charleston had Todd in tears when she walked down the isle in her beautiful gown.  For flowers, Ginny wanted to have whites with just little springs of green to contrast the bridesmaids black dresses and also to fit in with the winter theme. Country and Lace Florist did a great job pulling together Ginny’s vision and coordinating the event.  Following the ceremony, a bagpiper played filling the streets with the happy announcement of a new marriage. Walking over to the Mills House from the French Huguenot Church, the bridesmaids carried candles for a very festive touch. Ginny also choose lots of silver and gold for a touch of sparkle that added to the elegant feel. Immaculate Confections designed and baked a  beautiful cake for guests to enjoy.  Both Ginny and Todd agreed that they wanted their wedding to be FUN! So they decided to have a great band, Momentum, at the reception to keep the reception upbeat and lively! Ginny wore her grandmothers’ fur stole to the reception and her bridesmaids wore monogrammed wraps. Their big leave consisted of everyone throwing artificial snow to wrap up the wonderful winter wedding!

Kelly and Pat

Kelly and Pat were married at Charlestown Landing in a intimate ceremony.  Doug Farmer officiated and the couple said their vows under the beautiful oaks in the park.  We are so delighted Kelly and Pat chose us to be a part of their day!  While looking for locations, they chose Charleston, because of their love for the city. Charles Towne Landing is such a gorgeous venue, with its avenue of oaks, moss, and marsh.  Pat planned almost everything for their elopement because he wanted everything to be perfect for Kelly without having to be stressful. He even ordered our bouquet to surprise her!  After their ceremony, we spent time walking around the ground for photos. It was so great seeing these two so in love, so happy and just truly in love!

Danielle and Josh

Danielle and Josh were married in November at Belfair Plantation in Bluffton, SC. With beautiful oak trees and spanish moss surrounding the location, the flowers from A Floral Affair really popped! The dress that Danielle picked from White on Daniel Island was elegant and stunning. The wedding ceremony overlooked acres of greenery and trees, while blue skies surrounded. The reception was held inside of the clubhouse and featured great party music from Deas Guyz. Guests enjoyed the cake made by Signe’s Bakery. As a special touch the couple had a custom cigar station from Cigar Row available for their guests. The lovely couple danced and laughed all night long before they left the party in their getaway golf cart!

Malley and Austin

From the first time we met Malley and Austin for their engagement session it was obvious how in love this couple is! Since we had done photos of the two of them in the summer we were so looking forward to their November wedding at Middleton Place. Austin and Malley wisely chose Holly Simpson with A Charleston Event to coordinate their wedding day. Holly worked with Malley to put together a fun, relaxing and beautiful wedding. Malley was a gorgeous bride in a dress from Gown Boutique of Charleston and flowers from Keepsakes Florist. The ceremony was filled with thoughtful words and happy tears! After the ceremony was a celebration of the couples love that included Finger Snappin Entertainment, food by Middleton Place and cake from Cakes by Kasarda. It was such a joyous day for all! The happy couple danced and laughed with family and friends and ended the night with a sparkler exit and a kiss!

Jonna and Justin

Jonna and Justin chose to have a very private wedding that included the two of them, an officiant and us! It was a glorious day at Magnolia Plantation with one main focus- the love these two share for each other. After a quite ceremony underneath the ancient oak trees we went around Magnolia Plantation celebrating the newlyweds! Although Joanna and Justin did not have a large gathering, they made the day their own with their unique style and love for comic books!

Heidi and Jon

Heidi and Jon had a beautiful wedding that happened to be on Halloween at Magnolia Plantation. This couple loved the outdoors and had a definite vision for their day.  Heidi spent lots of time and energy on the details of the wedding, including DIY decor that looked stunning and fit the couple perfectly!
