I love downtown engagement sessions!

Gil + Nicole = FUN!

A couple of weeks ago, I had a crazy fun afternoon engagement session with Nicole and Gil! Let me tell you, these two are my type of couple! Their fun-loving personalities matched perfectly with my creativity that day. I told Nicole that we have good “photo karma” – haha! They were up for anything, so we got some really unique and different shots. I can’t wait for their wedding!

I just love this one of them on the train tracks behind the U.S. Customs House!

One of my favorite Charleston attributes is all the fabulous wrought iron! The creative, handcrafted detail makes for a great photograph, if you ask me! 🙂

We often discuss at our studio how spoiled we Charleston photographers are to be around such awesome color & texture everywhere we turn! This is one of my favorite alleyways:

I love the lines of the tall staircase at the Customs House.
(Gil and Nicole were so great to let me “play” with them with all of my silly ideas!)

The downtown sunset was lovely that day too!

Fun Family Portraits, downtown Charleston

A couple of weeks ago (before this crazy cold snap!) I had the pleasure of doing a downtown family session with the McCrackin family! We started at Waterfront Park, and walked over to the Customs House steps and a few neat back alleyways!

The kids were a little shy at first, but tons of fun after we all warmed up to each other! Along our walk, there was an art gallery on East Bay St. with a dog inside.

“How much is that doggie in the window?”

By the end of the shoot, it was all silliness….which if you ask me, is so much fun!
(I love this pic of the kids being goofy!)

Katie and David’s wedding at St. Luke’s Chapel and the Wickliffe House, Charleston, SC

St. Luke’s Chapel and the Wickliffe house are a perfect venue combination in downtown Charleston. They are a half a block walk from one another just off of the MUSC campus. Katie and David put together a sweet ceremony and reception which offered so many great picture possibilities.

The ladies got ready at the Wycliffe House where the reception was later held. Great old house with lots of windows, which makes for pretty pictures ;)

Katie didn't let her dad see her dress until the wedding day when they had this very sweet moment.

The Wycliffe House has this beautiful spiral staircase with a north facing window. We had a lot of fun here.

More fun on the stairs 🙂

This was Katie's Special request, to have a picture in the stained glass window.
