Jessica and Ian fell in love and planned a fun wedding celebration that would bring all of their guests to beautiful Charleston! Unfortunately the 1000 year storm threw a curve ball with the weather! But after days of rain it finally stopped on the night of Jessica and Ian’s wedding! Although it made travel for their guests a bit tricky, their friends and family were happy to be there to witness the love that this sweet couple shares! It was a gorgeous day!
When Sutton and Patrick decided to get married, Charleston was the obvious choice! The two met in Charleston and fell in love here. After choosing the Historic Rice Mill it was easy to see the natural beauty of the venue and go with a minimal rustic theme. The venue was decorated with flickering candles and fresh flowers, all following the color theme of navy, gold and blush. The two wanted wedding to be a huge celebration and to be fun, so they placed games just outside of the bar for a guests to play, a life sized jenga set and a corn hole set and of course, glow sticks on the dance floor!
Jenna and Michael had such a perfect and amazing wedding day! The ceremony was romantic and sweet! After the two said their vows and the newlyweds and their guests boarded the Carolina Queen for a fun cocktail hour. The Rice Mill then served as the perfect venue for an elegant celebration of the love that Jenna and Michael share.
Lauren and Josh wanted their day to be filled with memories of the natural beauty that surrounded them. The two celebrated their love with the ones they loved and kept things classic, timeless and no frills. They wanted to make the day more about family and less about following a trend- it ended up being such a sweet day!
Emma and Bobby wanted quite a traditional wedding, with some aspects that showcased their personality and love. Many of the wedding guests hadn’t visited Charleston before, so the two thought it would be fun to have Southern-inspired food, and a Firefly-lemonade cocktail to go along with it. To make Emma’s side of the family feel more at home, there was a Pimm’s Cup cocktail – a very English drink! The two had a beautiful day!
Elizabeth and Sri love dark, deep colors and cooler weather so when the two became engaged they knew they wanted to get married in December. Elizabeth is from Charleston and wanted to show off her southern style while also incorporating Sri’s Indian culture. They had a beautiful gold mandap for their ceremony with red and white roses. They had a two day celebration starting with a ceremony at The Rice Mill Building downtown. It was important for Elizabeth and Sri to have support from their families which is why they wanted a small intimate ceremony. The next day there was a huge party at the The Country Club of Charleston, with decorations by Frampton Flowers, which held a special place in Elizabeth’s heart because it is where her grandparents would take her as a child.
Kate and Joe met while bowling with friends, and after Joe won Kate white sunglasses from a crane machine the two fell madly in love! Kate and Joe had a very rustic wedding at the Historic Rice Mill, where they had lots of pink, burlap, and of course cowboy boots. Everyone had a great time partying the night away with music provided by Ascend Entertainment, and Anna Bella Floral created beautiful flower arrangements for the day. I loved her dress, it was such a great pick that match the day and the theme perfectly! Kate and Joe were so awesome all day despite the rain, and we are so glad we got to capture such sweet moments. Congrats guys!
Erin and Joe are such a fun couple, and you can tell by all the adorable pictures they take together! The two got married in June at Summerall Chapel with a reception following at the Historic Rice Mill. Tiger Lily florist made beautiful white bouquets that really popped against the black bridesmaids dresses. I also love that the grooms and groomsmen boutonnieres were shot gun shells. Ashley at Ashley and Co Bridal Hair and White on Daniel Island made sure Erin looked beautiful on her special day. Wishing you two many years of happiness, so glad we got to be apart of your day! Erin and Joe were also featured on On The Go Bride and you can check it out here!
