Ellen and Aaron live in and love Charleston! When they were making decisions about their wedding it was important that they celebrate the place that brought them together and where they will be putting down roots as a family together. Magnolia Plantation was the perfect venue for them and from there the details they decided on were sweet colors and rustic accents. When it came to time to plan their wedding Gene wanted to keep tradition and have the military type wedding at the Citadel. The two wanted to incorporate the traditional military wedding with a laid back beach feel for the reception. They also wanted to incorporate Charleston culture into the reception because they knew it would be a destination type wedding since all of their families are scattered across the US. As a fun touch Mary and Gene chose to go with Shag dancing and lessons, low country boil and pulled bbq pork, and a sword line at the end of the ceremony to keep with their Charleston/Military them! To top off the fun Cocky the Gamecock even made a surprise appearance complete with dancing!

Lily and Roy met at a Charleston favorite- Sunday Brunch! The two fell in love and wanted their wedding to be simple but also classy- with Charleston charm. Kim and Nick wanted their wedding day to be the pairing of traditional and casual. The two chose Navy Blue and Gold as their wedding colors because it the colors of the US Navy. Since the couple are both Naval Officers it was a good way to tie that in. As a part of Naval tradition Nick wore his dress white uniform and the traditions couldn’t be complete without having a sword arch during the recessional. It was a happy day of celebrating, good food and dancing!
